Dr Peter Honeyman

Dr Honeyman has extensive international experience. Peter has extensive consulting experience in multinational Corporate OHS practice, international OHS systems & legislations, ergonomics, shift work, toxicology and industries in China, Israel, UK and Australia.

His experience ranges across industries: high- tech industry, oil and exploration, manufacturing, health and waterfront & maritime.

His key areas of skill include ergonomics, shift work, toxicology, musculo-skeletal system, including trauma to neck, back, limbs, chest and abdomen; motor vehicle accidents, travel related injuries, life expectancy and industrial/ occupational safety including chemical toxicity. His research interests lie in ageing and work and work disability.

Peter has been a consultant Occupational Physician at Intel Corp in Israel and across Europe since 1995. Between 2003 and 2007, he was a consultant in Sydney and London. Since 2007, Dr Honeyman has consulted for ISOS, China, (Shanghai based) as a consulting occupational specialist. Since 2008 he has also conducted consultancies, in the UK, United Arab Emirates, Plus PT global medical director, Numonyx (Flash memory, 50% owned by Intel).

Peter has a Bachelor Medicine and Surgery (Uni NSW), MSci Soc. Masters in Philosophy of Science (Uni NSW).

He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Occupational Medicine, and a Fellow of the Australian Faculty of Occupational & Environmental Medicine (Royal Australian College of Physicians). He is also a Fellow of the American Board of Independent Medical examiners.

He is a member of four international Occupational Medicine societies:1) Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, RACP 2) American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine 3) Royal Society of Medicine, UK 4) Israeli Occupational Medicine Society.

He currently holds medical registration in Australia, UK, and Israel.

Peter has produced a book chapter to compare global workplace health promotion systems.

He is very passionate about comparative occupational regulations and systems, systems for recording occupational injuries, comparative ergonomic systems, musculoskeletal and chemical injuries and traveling.
